This is one of my first friends, and the one I have had for the longest time.
Both our parents were members of the local church, and being the only kids the same age, it was only natural we would become friends.
I do admit, though, I am not a man of faith. Especially in 2020, I began to neglect my church attendance, and thus, she and I drifted apart in our friendship.
I understand that I will never really recover all those lost years. In an effort to rekindle this connection, I sometimes send her memes.
