This is one of my first friends, and the one I have retained for the longest time.
Both our parents were members of the local church, and being the only kids the same age, it was only natural we would become friends.
I do admit, though, I am not a man of faith. Especially in during the pandemic, I began to neglect my church attendance, and thus, she and I consequentially drifted apart in our friendship.
I understand that I will never really recover all those lost years. In an effort to rekindle our connection, I sometimes send her memes, and to which she reciprocates and sends me memes too.
